 CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENTS

Also known as spinal manipulation.  This treatment is what chiropractors are best known for.  Most commonly using the hands the chiropractor uses a quick, controlled thrust to a specific joint.  The adjustment increases joint range of motion and often provides immediate relief from pain. Adjustments can be applied to more than just the spine.  These are called extremity adjustments and include the shoulder, hip, knee, ankle, etc.

CORRECTIVE EXERCISE

We work together to find exercises and stretches specific to your goals and abilities, performing them with us in our office and then on your own at your home.  These sessions are one on one and specific to you.

IASTM TECHNIQUE AKA SCRAPING

Scraping is a manual therapy technique that utilizes a handheld instrument made from surgical stainless steel, these instruments are used to restore normal function of the muscles and fascia.   We will work through the tissues in order to restore mobility, range of motion, decrease scar tissue formation and pain to help your body regain proper function.

SELECTIVE FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT ASSESSMENT (SFMA)

SFMA is a full body movement screen used to identify dysfunctional movement patterns.  We utilize this screen to understand the interplay between regions of the body and improve our understanding of the patient's condition.

ROCKTAPE

Rocktape is applied to hurting or aching muscles. It will help lift the skin, providing better blood flow and carrying oxygen to the region.. We often apply Rocktape before sporting events for an extra layer of support. Rocktape is a form of kinesio tape.

CUPPING

We use hand held cups that are placed on the skin and create suction; The purpose of this technique is to reduce tension and increase blood flow to the treated area.
