WHAT IS A SUBLUXATION?

Many people think a subluxation is a "bone out of place". Actually, it's most often not a bone out of place, but rather a hypomobile joint (joint dysfunction) causing nerve interference.
Your spine has several jobs. Two of the most important jobs are: 1. To house and protect your nervous system- the spinal cord is embedded in the spine
to provide the ultimate protection for it, and the nerves flow out from the spinal cord through small openings in the spinal joints; 2. To allow for maximum mobility. Thus, there are 24 vertebrae in the spine to allow for all this movement to occur.

When your spine is injured in a fall or accident, or stressed through chronic strain, the spinal muscles go into spasm to protect the area and the nervous system from further insult or injury. This muscle spasm locks up the joint (restricts joint motion), which then causes nerve interference (which you often don't feel). Studies have shown that 80-90% of the time that you have nerve interference, there are no outward symptoms (you don't feel a thing). Meanwhile, that nerve interference is altering bodily function (for the worse).
